Dear Central Parents and Guardians,
The Central Home and School Association has always encouraged and welcomed your involvement and participation. Parents can choose to attend monthly meetings, help out at events, donate baked goods, become members, or just visit the website to get information. Each method contributes to the success of our children and Central.
Once a year, we also solicit your financial support. This year has been difficult for public schools in Philadelphia, with very significant and unprecedented budget cuts. Our Home and School Association is committed to doing all we can to help Central continue to offer the programs, equipment, and materials that enrich our children’s high school experience. Your contribution can help us achieve this goal.
The following list highlights how our fundraising efforts have supported our students since September. For example:
In planning for 2006-2007, we budgeted for $6,500 in donations. Many families have already made donations, and we have received almost $2,000 so far this year. But the needs did not disappear and in fact have grown. If you have sent a donation this year, thank you very much. If not, please say yes and send in a contribution to help our children. And please consider an additional gift if you can. Any amount will be greatly appreciated and, as always, will directly benefit and support our young people.
