Home and School Correction: Freshmen Tea
Freshmen Tea is Thursday, October 25, not Wednesday as incorrectly stated on the the Autodialer message. Please send in baked goods (store bought or homemade) that 270 will enjoy during their lunch time. Baked goods can be sent in with your child in the morning and brought directly into the Dance Gym. We are also looking for volunteers to help set up and serve! Come meet the freshman class and other parents!
MRSA
In response to the recent increased attention to cases of infection with the bacteria Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or MRSA, we are providing you with some facts about MRSA infection given to us by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health.  Click HERE

All STUDENTS must be in Advisory on Fridays for TransPass distribution.  Students who are late to school (after 8:30 AM) can pick up a TransPass in the Dance Studio at 3:04 PM on Friday afternoons.  Students who are absent on Fridays can pick up TransPasses in the Dance Studio on Mondays before 8:00 AM.  There will be no other times for TransPass distributions.     J. Our apologies forthe delay in congratulating Mr. Michael Horwits who has been selected as the Acting Community Service Coordinator effective September, 2007.  To avoid confusion, all members of the faculty and staff are requested to submit community service opportunities to Mr. Horwits prior to advertising them to our students.      S. Are you interested in getting involved with Robotics this year?  We start the year with the BEST competition.  Come and meet our award winning team members & learn how to get involved.  The first meeting is Tuesday, September 18 at 3:15 in Room 95.
SEPTA INFORMATION
SEPTA  FAST  FACTS

Eligible students will receive their transpasses starting Monday, September 10th.  The next pass will be issued Monday, September 17th and then beginning September 21st. every Friday.  Arrangements will be made for holidays.  Transpasses will be distributed during every lunch period in the back of the lunchroom.  All students are required to show either their ID or roster.

Students not eligible (less than 1.5 miles away)  can purchase a transpass for $15.00.  We have a limited number for sale. 

Students must secure their pass.  SEPTA and/or the School District of Philadelphia are not responsible for lost transpasses.

An information pamphlet will be given to the students with their first pass.  Additional information is available on the School District of Philadelphia's website, Click HERE and Scroll down to the section of the left entitled "What's New".
