School Closed Monday, February 8, 2010

All School District of Philadelphia schools will be
CLOSED on Monday, February 8, 2010, due to this weekend's record
snowfall in Philadelphia. All after-school activities and yellow
school bus service are also canceled for Monday, February 8.

Administrative and regional offices will open two hours late.

The general public and the media are urged to monitor the District's
website, www.philasd.org, for any updates. Updated information will
also be posted on the District's School Closing Hotline at
215-400-INFO (4636).

Textbook Policy

On July 12, 1999 the School Board adopted an expanded textbook policy charging that each student be responsible for the proper care of school porperty including textbooks, supplies and equipment entrusted to his/her use.

2008 NCLB Report Card

As part of the Pennsylvania Accountability System and in compliance with No Child Left Behind (NCLB), Pennsylvania and all districts and schools within the Commonwealth are required to create Report Cards at the beginning of the school year.

Student Opt-Out Form

Military Opt-Out Form: Students in Grades 11 and 12

The federal and state governments require that The School District automatically release your name, gender, address, telephone number, and school name to military recruiters UNLESS parents sign an "opt out" form. You may download this form (in English and in translation) and directions on how to submit it by using the link below. Please note that you may sign and return the form yourself since a parent signature is not required. The signed form must be returned to your advisor by October 23, 2009.

Home & School Fund Raiser

ACME TAPE SAVER PROGRAM. We all shop for food! Now food shopping at Acmecan help us raise money for our kids!
